About Me
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading and special education. I then moved to San Antonio with my husband in 2010. After teaching Pre-K at a public school in San Antonio for 2 years, I decided to further my education by pursuing a master's degree in Educational Technology at Michigan State University.
Currently I am teaching at New Frontiers Elementary School, located near downtown San Antonio. During the 2012-2013 school year I taught 3rd-5th grade math. That position brought a new set of challenges, as well as a great deal of exciting new opportunities. For the 2013-2014 school year I took on a new position as special education inclusion and resource teacher at the elementary level. This position has allowed me to work closely with students with special needs, and their teachers, to help them be as successful as possible. Watching their growth has been a truly rewarding experience.
As I continue my teaching career, I look forward to whatever new opportunities may come, and the opportunity to continue to help children achieve their fullest potential.
